5-14: Writing About a Text (S2)

I've added a new worksheet: a guide to writing an essay about a novel / short story or play that you have read. Click the "worksheets" tab and look in the 5-14 (S1-S2) section.

The worksheets show you how to:

1) Write an introduction
2) Write about the author's craft:
     characterisation
     setting / atmosphere
     plot (turning point and climax)
     theme

Each sheet shows you what should be in a paragraph, a sentence-by-sentence worked example using The Grimm Brothers' "Little Red Cap" and a writing frame.
